We have lots of fishermen that ask us when the best time is to come fishing. Well, for pike fishermen we generally tell them the first 4 weeks of season is prime as the pike are in the shallows and casting is absolutely thrilling. The pike fishing is consistent through the summer with some of the largest being caught in July and August. Lots of artificial bait will work well for the summer/fall pike fishing with Rapalas or stick baits. For the walleye fishing, the fish are shallow in the spring-jigging or casting/throwing works great at this time of year.  The walleye fishing is pretty incredible throughout the summer with the fish around the reefs and on humps from last week of June into September. The cool moving current on our waters of the English River ensures great fishing throughout our fishing season. Smallmouth bass are always fun in early season but as the summer sets in and out, the fishing is stellar! We suggest Mepps, Ned rigs, plastics, plugs or a baited jig.
